Title: My new home on the web: rachitmudaliar.dev

I've been building in public for a while: apps, experiments, and a lot of late nights. Today it all gets one proper home.

Who I'm

I'm Rachit Ratnam Mudaliar, a Software Systems student at Kauno Kolegija in Kaunas, Lithuania. I started with computers at age four, went through a strict military school in Dehradun, and now I build and publish my own apps as a freelance developer.

What you'll find there

- Duedial: an offline subscription tracker. No account, no internet, no tracking.

- Kitchtally: an offline grocery and household tracker for Android and iPhone.

- Target: a habit and goal tracker with flexible timing, hours targets, and weekly and monthly summaries.

All three are free, private by design (they ask for no internet permission), and open source on GitHub.

Why it matters

Software should respect people: your data stays on your phone. That's the idea behind everything I make.

Take a look, click around, try the apps, and tell me what you think.

Every big journey starts with taking a chance on yourself. This is the story of mine so far. Where it started I was born in Birsinghpur Pali, a small town in Madhya Pradesh, India. When I was four, my mother sat me in front of a computer and taught me MS Paint and how to type my name. I didn't just want to use it. I wanted to know how it worked. That question has followed me ever since. I started school at St. Joseph's, then spent Classes 5 to 10 at Kendriya Vidyalaya Nowrozabad, with a short two-month stay at DDM Public School in Korba, Chhattisgarh. My family None of this would have happened without my family. My father, Mr. Ratnam, is a Senior Engineer at MPPGCL (Madhya Pradesh Power Generating Company). My passion for engineering comes from him. Watching him work is how I first understood what an engineer does. My mother, Vandana Ratnam, was a teacher and now works with the Department of Women and Child Development. She has been my first teacher for everything, from typing ...

Today I'm a student, a computer professional in the making and a developer. WHAT I BUILD Every app I publish follows three rules: it works fully offline, it keeps your data only on your phone, and it is free. No account, no ads, no internet permission. DUEDIAL A subscription and bill tracker for Android and iOS. It shows what you pay each month, reminds you before a payment is due, and handles free trials, shared plans and one-time purchases. https://github.com/rachitratnammudaliar/Duedial KITCHTALLY A grocery and household-items tracker for Android and iOS. It tracks what you have at home, builds your shopping list when things run low, remembers prices and shops, and gives you a weekly summary. https://github.com/rachitratnammudaliar/Kitchtally HOW I BUILD THEM The Android apps are written in Kotlin with Jetp...
